Build the takedowns, top control, and relentless pressure that dictate where every fight happens.
Wrestling is a grappling-based combat sport built around takedowns, control, and positional dominance. Unlike arts that focus on submissions, wrestling's core objective is simple but demanding: get your opponent to the ground on your terms, and keep them there, or stay on your feet when you don't want to go down. It's this ability to dictate where a fight takes place that makes wrestling one of the most valuable and feared skill sets in MMA. What sets wrestling apart is its physicality and relentlessness. Success comes from explosive hips, strong hand-fighting, and a tireless motor. Wrestlers are known for imposing their pace and pressure on opponents from the opening second to the final buzzer. Whether it's chaining takedown attempts until one lands, or stuffing an opponent's shot and staying upright, wrestling rewards persistence as much as technique. At Harbinger, judo and wrestling are taught together in a combined Judo/Wrestling class.
